Résumé / Abstract : The book discusses the evolving nature of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in times of geopolitical uncertainty. This uncertainty is prompted by geopolitical risks faced by the stakeholders of modern companies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, social and economic consequences of wars in Ukraine. Such geopolitical risks undeniably raise questions as to what the new “ethical” norm of corporate conduct should be. It strives to evaluate the effectiveness of European legal approach - both EU law and national law of EU Member states- regarding the CSR of commercial companies in the times of geopolitical uncertainty. Particular attention is paid to France and Luxembourg - two leaders in the regulation of corporate conduct vis-à-vis thes interests of varying stakeholders - and the geopolitical risks provoked by the war in Ukraine. The author advocates for the establishment of a new model of CSR in times of geopolitical uncertainty based on the concept of "act fair, act far".
