Résumé / Abstract : Au début du XVIIe siècle, Lima connait une apogée économique et culturelle et la société coloniale péruvienne est en pleine effervescence avec l’essor d’une identité propre. J’ai cherché à montrer que la première presse d’Amérique du Sud installée à ce moment précis s’adapte aux problématiques particulières à la situation coloniale de la vice-royauté du Pérou. Il s’agit d’une étude détaillée sur la production de livres au Pérou au cours de la période coloniale et de ses enjeux politiques, économiques et sociaux, en étudiant matériellement les techniques et habitudes des imprimeurs qui se succèdent pour voir si on y décèle une forme d’acculturation ou le début d’un style péruvien qui leur est propre. Je m’intéresse aussi au livre comme objet commercial et à la distribution du livre liménien, puisque cet enjeu de vente a aussi des conséquences sur la forme du livre.
Résumé / Abstract : At the beginning of the XVIIth century, Lima reaches an economic and cultural peak and the Peruvian colonial society is buzzing with the rise of their own identity. I tried to show thatthe first press of South America set up at this precise moment adjusts to the particular issues due to the colonial situation of the viceroyalty of Peru. It is a detailed study on the production of books in Peru during the colonial period and its political, economic and social stakes, by studying physically the techniques and habits of the printers who succeed one another to see if we can spot there a form of cultural integration or the beginning of a Peruvian style which is their own. I am also interested in the book as a commercial object and in the supply of the Limenian book, since this sales issue also has consequences on the shape of the book.
