Relation : Geometry of Black Holes / Piotr Chrusciel / Oxford : Oxford University Press , 2020
Résumé / Abstract : Black holes are regions of spacetime which are causally disconnected from our region in the following sense : no objects, radiation, or other non-quantum form of information can reach us from the black-hole region ; on the other hand, we can fall into, or send spaceships inside. Although they have been studied for years, they still attract tremendous attention in the physics and astrophysics literature. They present one of the most fascinating predictions of Einstein's general relativity. There is strong evidence of their existence from observations of active galactic nuclei, including the centre of our galaxy, from the analysis of gravitational wave signals, and others.
