Résumé / Abstract : Ce travail permet de mieux comprendre la complexité de l’illettrisme, et plus largement le concept de littératie, sous l’angle de la Santé. Une enquête européenne réalisée en 2011, montre que 35,2 % de la population étudiée a un niveau de littératie en santé insuffisant. Ceci est alarmant car une faible littératie peut entraîner une incompréhension du traitement et de possibles erreurs médicamenteuses. Le pharmacien a un rôle clé dans la prise en charge de ces personnes en raison de son statut d’expert du médicament, et de la relation de confiance qu’il a avec ses patients. Pourtant, ce problème est encore largement méconnu et sous-estimé dans la profession. Nombreux sont les pharmaciens qui reconnaissent identifier difficilement les personnes concernées, et qui souhaiteraient être mieux formés sur le sujet. Il semblait donc utile de proposer des solutions concrètes afin qu’après chaque dispensation, le patient ait toutes les clés en main pour prendre correctement son traitement. Une des solutions est l’utilisation d’outils pédagogiques. L’Ordonnance visuelle en est un exemple. Le support n’étant pas finalisé, l’objectif de ce travail a été de le tester à l’officine, auprès des patients et de l’équipe, afin d’optimiser sa conception. Une enquête a donc été réalisée dans une pharmacie auprès de 100 patients et de l’équipe officinale. Le concept de l’Ordonnance visuelle a eu un franc succès. Les questionnaires ont permis d’identifier ses points forts ainsi que les points à améliorer pour l’adapter à la pratique officinale. La digitalisation du support semble à ce titre indispensable pour qu’il puisse être utilisé à l’avenir dans l’ensemble des pharmacies.
Résumé / Abstract : This work allows a better understanding of the complexity of illiteracy, and more extensively the concept of literacy from the perspective of Health. An European survey carried out in 2011 highlights the fact that 35,2% of the studied population had an insufficient literacy level regarding Health matters. This reality is alarming because this low level might cause a misunderstanding of the treatment and possible medication errors. The pharmacist has a key role in the management of these people, due to his drugs expert status and the relationship of trust he maintains with his patients. However, this issue is unrecognized and underestimated in the profession. Many pharmacists admit having difficulties to identify the persons in question, and wish they were better trained on the subject. It seemed worthwhile to offer concrete solutions in order that after each dispensation, the patient understands and takes correctly his treatment. One of the solutions is the use of educational tools. The Visual Prescription is one example. The objective of this work was to test this visual tool at the pharmacy among the team and patients and to optimize its conception. A survey was carried out in one community pharmacy with 100 patients and the pharmacy staff. The concept of the Visual Prescription was a resounding success. The questionnaires highlighted the key strengths of this educational tool as well as the points to improve to adapt it to the use of the pharmacy. The digitalization of the support seems, on this basis, indispensable to be used in a wide range of community pharmacies in the future.
