Résumé / Abstract : The journal aims to be a meeting place for the efforts being made in Mexico and other Latin American contexts to create a sociology specifically devoted to analyzing the problems of these regions. It also aims to provide theoretical and methodological considerations relevant to the development of science and research especially in sociology. The problem of migration, social movements, the question of the state, poverty and social inequality, research from a gender perspective, and the evolution of social studies in general are some of the topics discussed here.
