Résumé / Abstract : Canadian Slavonic Papers / Revue canadienne des slavistes (CSP) was established in 1956. In 1967 it began appearing twice yearly, becoming a quarterly in 1968. The journal is the official publication of the Canadian Association of Slavists (CAS). CSP is a peer reviewed multidisciplinary journal, publishing original research—in English and French—on Central and Eastern Europe. It attracts an international readership and scholars from a range of disciplines: language and linguistics, literature, history, political science, sociology, economics, anthropology, geography, folklore and the arts. The journal is especially strong in Slavic linguistics; Russian literature and history; Ukrainian literature and history; Polish and Balkan history and culture. Articles are well balanced between modern, early-modern and medieval topics. Special thematic issues (or sections) appear regularly and undergo the journal's demanding review process
