Résumé / Abstract : Established in 1889, the Jewish Quarterly Review (JQR) is the oldest English-language journal in the fields of Jewish studies. Edited at the Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, the journal aims to publish the finest work in all areas of Jewish studies. In addition to original articles by senior as well as junior scholars, JQR regularly features review essays and book forums, short notes, and lists of relevant dissertations. Preserving the attention to textual detail so characteristic of the journal in the past, JQR attempts now to reach a wider and more diverse audience.
