Résumé / Abstract : Le contact intercivilisationnel est un phenomene tres interessant a etudier. Cependant, les approches qui ont ete faites de ce phenomene ne rendent pas bien compte de sa complexite en raison de defaillances au niveau du traitement de l'information. C'est ce qui nous a pousse a entreprendre cette recherche a la lumiere des sciences de l'information et de la communication. Notre approche, dont une des originalites consiste dans la combinaison entre la conception musulmane et occidentale de l'information et de la civilisation, nous a permis de degager les constantes principales dans la diffusion et la communciation intercivilisationnelle. En effet, nous pouvons observer l'intervention tres active de trois principaux agents mediateurs, a savoir le partisan, la seductio-imitation, ainsi que la traduction. C'est a travers ces agents mediateurs que s'etablit la communication intercivilisationnelle. Cette mediation permet la diffusion et le transfer des informations, des competences, et des modes de vie et de pensee entre les civilisations en fonction des rapportsde force qui existent entre elles. Elle peut aussi etre la source de conflits et d'hostilite entre les civilisations en communication. Nous avons prix comme champ de recherche et d'experimentation la communication entre l'islam et l'occident pour son exceptionnelle richesse. Nous avons pu analyser avec precision l7action de ces agents mediateurs et de ses effets sur les deux civilisations que nous avons etudiees en fonction de leurs rapports de force. Cette recherche a ete conclue par une reflexion generale sur le phenomene de l'amnesie civilisationnelle.
Résumé / Abstract : The contact between civilizations is an interesting phenomenon to study. However, the approaches proposed do not sufficiently take into consideration its complexity because of weaknesses at the information treatment level. This is the reason why we have done this research at the basis of information and communication sciences. Our approach, whose originality results from the combinaion of the islamic and the western conception of information and civilization, has allowed us tot bring out the constant principle of mediation in the diffusion of civilizations and in the intercivilizationnal communication. In fact, a very active intervention of three major mediatory agents can be observed : the phenomenon of partisanship, of seduction-imitation and of translation. It is through these mediatory agents that intercivilizationnal communication is established. This mediation allows the diffusion and the transfer of information, of competences, ways of living and of thinking between civilizations according to relations existing between them in terms of power struggle. It can also be the source of conflicts and hostility between the civilizations in communication. We have chosen as field of study an examination the intrcivilizationnal communication between the islam and the west because of its exceptionnal richness. We have been able to analyze with precision the action of the mediatory agents and there effects on the two civilizations that we have studied according to the relations between them in ters of power struggle. This research has been concluded by a general reflection about the phenomenon of amnesia of civilisation.
