Résumé / Abstract : The Orientalist Louis Massignon (1883-1962) converted in 1908 under the obedience of a passion, that of Hallâj (858-922) a Baghdadian Sufi poet, devoted his entire life to the latter's work. This founding moment permeated his writings which remain deeply dependent on a poetic Islam. The present work proposes to examine, based on an unpublished corpus of the BNF, the Islam of Louis Massignon. Our essentially comparative method will consist in comparing the Arabic texts with the French texts, always starting from a philological approach. From the Arabic language, the language of the Koran, the outlines of a poetic work emerge, our objective will be modestly to testify this.
