Résumé / Abstract : La thèse a pur but l'étude des transformations qui a supposé sur le plan de la religion, I’extension de la lecture et la culture imprimé au Chili dans la seconde moitié du XIXème siècle. L’hypothèse de la thèse appuie en démontrer, d'une part que I’extension de la capacité pour effectuer une lecture individuelle a été transformé dans un important outil de la religion catholique, et en même temps, que la lecture peut être vu comme un conflit d’interprétations entre lesquelles les producteurs et les censeurs essayent de fixer dans le texte, et celles qu'accordent les lecteurs au moment de dire. La recherche présente une structure thématique à partir de trois piliers: I’étude de discours et la représentation que à travers celui-ci a construit l'Église catholique diocésaine de Santiago sur la lecture et les lecteurs ; l'analyse du Corpus d’imprimés catholiques produits au Chili ; et les registres des texte qui ont sollicité la licence d’impression ecclésiastique.
Résumé / Abstract : The objective of this thesis is the study of transformations that supposed the extension of the reading and the culture printed in the plane of religion during second half of XIX century in Chile. The hypothesis of the thesis rests by demonstrate, on one hand, that extension of capacity to realise an individual reading was transformed into an important tool of catholic religion, and at the same time, that the reading can he seen like a conflict of interpretations between producers and controllers that try to fix in the text and those readers give at the time of reading. The research presents a thematic structure from three pillars: the study of the speech and representation that across this one constructed the diocesan catholic church of Santiago on the reading and the readers: the analysis of corpus of catholic printings produced in Chile, and the records of the texts that requested the licence of ecclesiastical printing.
