Résumé / Abstract : La Libre Belgique, quotidien catholique belge, perçoit différemment le protestantisme et sa variante théologique: l'anglicanisme, selon les années et les contextes sociétaux. L’immédiat après-guerre est un temps de méfiance mais l'œcuménisme catholique se construit à partir des années 1950 aux côtés de l'œcuménisme protestant avec le temps des découvertes. La période du concile catholique Vatican II et l'après-concile est un temps de reconnaissance mutuelle. On assiste alors à l'émergence de courante high, broad et low church et à la présence de mouvements d'églises dans les mondes catholique et protestant. La Libre Belgique portera à la connaissance du public les différents œcuménismes. L'information religieuse devient un secteur de l'information générale. La mondialisation religieuse prend place aux côtés des autres mondialisations.
Résumé / Abstract : The Belgian roman catholic daily paper, La Libre Belgique, reflects a perception of Protestantism and of its theological variant Anglicanism which varies with time and with changes in the societal context. The postwar years are marked by an initial attitude of distrust; but during the 1950's, Roman Catholic ecumenism develops parallel to the protestant ecumenical movement, and heralds a time of mutual discovery. This is to evolve into an era of mutual recognition with and subsequent to the second Vatican council. At this time, we witness the appearance of high, broad and low church movements as well as the presence of ecumenical trends in both the protestant and the catholic world. The Libre Belgique will give these various ecumenical movements public coverage. Thus, religious information will evolve into a subset of general information, and religious globalization will find its rightful place alongside other forms of interest at a global scale.
