Résumé / Abstract : 1788. King George III is almost 30 years into his reign, but his behaviour is becoming increasingly irrational -- he is babbling ceaselessly, spewing obscenities and attacking the Queen's Mistress of Robes. Has the King of England gone mad? The Prince of Wales sets out to have his father declared unfit to rule and the Queen is denied access to her husband, who is himself at the mercy of his own physicians. Improvement is only seen when a new doctor, Dr Willis, is engaged but the King's true saviour is much closer to home -- the Queen herself
