Résumé / Abstract : The frontispiece depicts Flora surrounded by flowers in a variety of vases on the background of a walled formal garden, over Latin verses in praise of flowers... leaves engraved with flowers and small creatures (bird, beetle, dragonfly, mouse, frog, etc.), perhaps intended as embroidery patterns.
