Résumé / Abstract : La deuxième moitié du XXè siècle a été marquée par l'émigration de nombreux maghrébins vers l'Europe notamment vers la France à la recherche de conditions de vie meilleures. Ce phénomène qui a été motivé à la base par le travail a connu ensuite des évolutions aussi bien quantitatives que qualitatives, traduisant ainsi les changements qui ont eu lieu au cours de cette période, dans les pays d'accueil mais surtout dans les pays d'origine. Ce travail a pour objectif d'analyser le bilan mais aussi les perspectives de ce phénomène complexe. Parce qu'on ne peut pas analyser et comprendre les différences et l'évolution du profil des immigrés maghrébins en France sans connaître le contexte dans lequel ils ont émigré, cette étude propose dansun premier temps de faire une analyse comparative des principales transformations qui ont affecté les trois pays du Maghreb (Algérie, Maroc, Tunisie). Outre les évolutions démographiques, les changements socioéconomiques qui ont marqué ces pays depuis leur indépendance, sont analysés. Dans un contexte marqué par le vieillissement des populations européennes et l'accélération de la transformation démographique des pays du Maghreb, cette recherche essaie dans un deuxième temps de prospecter l'avenir de la migration entre les deux rives de la Méditerranée. Ainsi, outre l'interrogation sur le rôle éventuel que pourrait jouer l'immigration dans l'avenir démographique de certains pays européens, ce travail essaie d'évaluer le stock potentiel migratoire dans les trois pays et donc leur capacité à continuer à alimenter les flux de la migration internationale.
Résumé / Abstract : The second half of the twentieth century was marked by the migration of many Maghrebians to Europe especially to France in search of better living conditions. This phenomenon, which was initially motivated by the work, has known quantitative evolutions as well as qualitative evolutions, reflecting changes that have occured during this period in the host country but especially in countries of origin. This study aims to analyze the assessment but also prospects of this complex phenomenon. As we cannot analyze and understand the differences and the evolution of the profile of Maghrebian immigrants in France without knowing the context in which they emigrated, we will at first carry out a comparative analysis of the major changes which have affected the three Maghreb countries (Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia). Besides the demographic evolutions, the socioeconomic transformations, which marked these countries since their independence are analyzed. In a context marked by ageing of European populations and the acceleration of the demographic transformation of the Maghreb countries, this research tries in the second stage to explore the future of migration, between the two shores of the Mediterranean. Besides the interrogation on the possible role of the migration in the demographic future of some European countries, this study tries to estimate the stock of potential emmigrants in the three Maghreb countries and therefore their capacity to continue to supply the international migration flows.
