Résumé / Abstract : The means of production are increasingly precise, but the realization of parts without defect is not yet possible. The designer must thus quantify acceptable defects which do not hinder the correct functioning of the mechanism. This tolerancing operation is a compromise between final product quality and manufacturing costs. With an approach of worst case tolerancing, 100% of the products must be in conformity. It is supposed whereas it is possible that all parts present simultaneously defects in limit of tolerance. The tolerances on each parts are then very weak and for current functional conditions they are almost impossible to respect. However the probability that all parts are simultaneously in an unfavourable configuration is weak. It is thus interesting to have a statistical approach in order to increase the tolerances while controlling the risk of non quality. Several approaches were developed into one-dimensional tolerancing and they present satisfactory results. Concerning three-dimensional statistical tolerancing, some attempts were carried out, but the results are not convincing (too restrictive assumptions). We propose in this document a new approach of three-dimensional statistical tolerancing. This one is based on the method of the clearance domain and deviation domain developed at the laboratory for the analysis and the synthesis of tolerances at worst case. For the statistical analysis of tolerances, the method presented is based on the simulations of Monte Carlo coupled to analytical methods. For each configuration, we consider the variations as random deviation torsor and the clearances like random clearance domain. They are respectively represented by random vectors and random 6-polytopes. At the end of simulations, it is possible to estimate the risk of non quality, and the residual clearances within the mechanisms. With this method, complex mechanisms can be treated with the taking into account of the clearances.
