Résumé / Abstract : The code of the imaginary and the oneiric in albert cohen's work comes in the form of a network of metaphors, signifiers and images which condenses within the myths and the idea of animality and "antinature". But it also works as a subversive code for all the myths brought into play in the text : through it space and time conceived as labyrinthine lose their sense of reality, and the relation to nature and the other is endowed with a very strong and personal emotional impact ; thus writing is given a structure which is as labyrinthine as the world's and the work drifts towards a proliferating baroque entropy
